CHAD L. SCHEIFELE

Writer/Director/Producer

Chad L. Scheifele is a writer, director and producer from rural Pennsylvania. He attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia where his thesis short film, Natural Selection, won “Best Picture” out of his entire graduating class. Over the next few years his short film would have success at festivals all over the country as well as overseas. It screened at the YoungFilmakers “Make Your Mark” venue, which was part of the 2013 SXSW Film Festival that was an initiative designed to highlight young, emerging talent in film.

As the short did well in the festival circuit, Chad was given the opportunity to co-produce an independent feature film, The Suspect, that was shot locally in Pennsylvania, which starred two-time Emmy-winner Sterling K. Brown, Mekhi Phifer and William Sadler.

In July of 2014 Chad's feature film, Natural Selection, went into production and starred Katherine McNamara, Anthony Michael Hall, Mason Dye and Amy Carlson. It was produced entirely in the state of Pennsylvania and was released worldwide in August of 2016. The film is currently streaming on Netflix, Amazon Prime & TubiTV.

Chad currently is writing, producing and directing projects. The bulk of his work deals with characters that fight to overcome struggles within the world in which they live and/or the adversity they face within themselves.

Chad's mission as a filmmaker is to create strong, meaningful stories with characters that his audiences can connect with.
